A pleasant, friendly blog. The Maze that is Frankfurt Airport. The Big Mac Index →. Terry Pratchett’s Women (Characters). July 12, 2011. My favorite author has to be Terry Pratchett. Here’s a post discussing the evolution of his female characters. Over the course of his Discworld series. (A few spoilers for the series, but don’t worry–they’re all worth reading and re-reading, because you’ll never get all of the detail, let alone the jokes, the first time through.). Next Door Laura: Roamin' Foodie
http://nextdoorlaura.blogspot.com/2015/06/roamin-foodie.html
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Start with your morning coffee. Drink it standing up as the locals do. It really wouldn't be worth your while to find a place to sit down to enjoy your approximately 1/2 ounce frothy jolt. So when in Rome.do as Kissinger did and do as the Romans do. It costs more if you sit at an outdoor table and expect service anyway. Take some chocolate covered espresso beans to keep you going as you proceed on the Roman Foodie Fresh Market Lunch Tour.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Sunday, December 28, 2014. A Tradition of Trees. Christmas crafting goes meta. When these are hung there will be trees on trees on trees. We made these for the first-time Christmas tree households in the family. All things come around. It's been years since we received ornaments made of Popsicle sticks, peanuts, or pipe cleaners. Now we make our own and pass them back in the other direction. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Elf Off the Shelf.

http://nextdoorlaura.blogspot.com/2015/06/and-were-eating.html
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Here are the girls who make it all happen. Homemade pasta with Pecorino and wild leek. Followed by this delicious plateful. And sheep's milk ricotta for dessert. This little piggy is one of the "wild" boars at the agrotourism farm. Oh, and yes we were drinking too. You know that is a true Brunello by it's orange tone. A wonderful tasting session at Cordella. No one but the driver remained awake for the ride back to Rome. Up in the Air.

The cutest little mountie ever, found at an estate sale, liberated from a doll collection display case and put back into service "defending the law" wherever needed. And in the mountains.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Saturday, April 25, 2015. Don't Forget to Write. Thought you would want to know that the West Hill Bear was finally suckered into a trap and given an all expense paid trip to a location at least 70 miles away. We hear that he was finally lured in with some big juicy strawberries that he probably didn't enjoy much once he found himself in the very unhappy situation of being enclosed in a giant tin can. The good news: soon it will be wild strawberry season. For som...
