After 15 years as a middle school teacher, Pete Johannsen founded VanAiken Design and Fabrication in 2009. He works out of The Distillery. In South Boston, creating tables, beds, lamps, and other objects designed to serve in both aesthetic and mundane capacities. Pete Johannsen lives with his family in Boston.
