Sunday, May 8, 2011. In the article, "Every Nook and Cranny: The Dangerous Spread of Commercialized Culture", Gary Ruskin and Juliet Schor mentions the dangerous effects commercialism has on society. One example that commercialism is influencing society is when a corporate company sponsored illumination of lights to celebrate Christmas. Although commercialized advertising have a profound influence on our culture, public distaste for commercialism would increase as will political support for restricting it.
