Moving to Academia: January 2008
http://moving2academia.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. When I started this new career, I decided I was going to blog . about the transition, about my work, about my experiences. I wasn't sure why I was blogging. I just knew I was going to do it. Was easy. I wanted students to know about the course I was teaching on "service science". Thursday, October 8, 2009. First Social Event for KLAAG! One of the best parts of my job as a faculty member is interacting and engaging with students. This year, there are a large number of Masters of Information students who have been assigned to me as their advisor. It is difficult at the best of times to provide hands-on one-on-one advice to students and when there are so many, it becomes very hard to schedule. She even gave us a name:. KLAAG: Kelly Lyons’ Academic Advisees Group. Links to this post.

Suggested that I write a blog post with my advice so here it is! Why you are here in the program. What you hope to learn and accomplish. Your friends and fa...
