Monday, January 13, 2014. Last night as we were doing our nightly ritual, I was caught by how old Riley looks. I told her she looked so much bigger than 5 years old, more like 6 years old. Monday, April 21, 2014. For Easter weekend this year, we changed our traditions up a little bit. We went to Mountain View for Cody's wedding (Woody's nephew). But before the wedding, we got to have some fun at Memaw and Pepaw's. We started with an Easter Egg hunt. Memaw filled the eggs with candy and money. Some were left empty to signify Jesus' empty tomb. Lots of eggs were found outside. Jude wanted to open each one up as he found them, so Riley ended up with way more. Some were very easy to find.

Monday, April 22, 2013. Riley recently got to paint her room. The night we moved in, she said she liked the new house, but her walls needed to be pink. Of course. So just a few months later, we bit the bullet and painted her walls pink. The kids got to help. for a little bit. Then mom and I got down to business. Six hours later, it was finished. Monday, March 3, 2014. I knew the snow wasn't over. It's March. See the snow behind the snow bunny? Endless snow. Snow day #13. Did I mention baseball season has already started? On the bright side, Riley has gotten plenty of use out of her delayed arrival snow suit. Cute isn't she? While Riley and I were inside being warm and cozy, Woody and Jude were outside building a snow fort wall. Monday, October 28, 2013. She loved to go camping and fishing. She would stand in the water and watch the minnows swim around her. Then she was dive in and try to catch them. She would do that for hours, or until it was time to get into the canoe and move on to the next "fishing hole". I had trouble getting good pictures of her because any time I was on her level, she took that to mean "lap time", not picture time. She was definitely a 50 pound lap dog and loved to stealthily crawl up into your lap.
