U.S. shelters are bursting with dogs needing a loving home too. Best to rescue one there. But then, I don’t interfere with what is in one’s heart. And I’m glad that I didn’t discourage Mike and Katelyn Hinkens, two young teachers here in Nicaragua, when they decided to adopt Pita and take her home to the States with them.
