My Scripture Studies: What is Sin?
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2012/10/what-is-sin.html
Sunday, October 21, 2012. Sin is lawlessness. The Bible is very clear about sin. Sin kills because it separates us from life with God. Sin is the plan of the enemy of God and humanity, the deadly design of the adversary of all believers and the ultimate goal of the deceiver. Sin's objective is death and the destruction of humanity. Today, in English we call Him Jesus. He was sinless and never broke any command of the law. So, what is the law? Not "exactly" law as we think of it. Exodus 12:49 tells us:.

My Scripture Studies: Do as The Disciples Did - Count the Omer!
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2010/04/do-as-disciples-did-count-omer.html
Sunday, June 12, 2011. Do as The Disciples Did - Count the Omer! But if that is the way to count up then it seems God would have said that Shavuot is on the 6th day of the 8th month just as he did the other Feast days which are stated on the specific month and day. Instead, He said count from the Sabbath, so it seems that must be the weekly Sabbath. You get do the same thing and count up to the great celebration of the Spirit of God. Just count all the way to the 50th day. It is the holy day count from t...

Friday, December 28, 2012. The Feasts of The Lord. Photograph by Michael Melford, National Geographic. There are seven Feasts of The Lord, they include "Holy Convocations," the Sabbaths of The Lord, days in which our Creator instructs us to take a vacation from work. Each Sabbath in Hebrew is called Shabbat. These Sabbaths are not done away with. The Book of Hebrews confirms this:. Almighty God takes 100% claim to His appointments with mankind:. The olde English word 'feast' can be a bit confusing becaus...

My Scripture Studies: "Torah" - It Points to Messiah
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2012/02/torah-it-points-to-messiah.html
Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Torah" - It Points to Messiah. What is the word “law” in the Bible? The first appearance of the English word law as translated from the Hebrew Bible is actually the word "choq". It is found in Genesis 47:26. Here “law” means means "statute, ordinance, limit, something prescribed". The Hebrew word “Torah” first appears in Exodus 12:49 when God tells Moses "One law [Torah] shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.". Deliverance is tied t...

My Scripture Studies: Texting with Gabriel
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2009/12/texting-with-gabriel.html
Wednesday, December 12, 2012. This is not my typical study. It was originally posted December 23, 2009 and again the following year, but I like to repeat it again today:. From my Scripture studies I want to provide you a conjecture of "text" messages that Gabriel, who only spoke with a couple of people in the Biblical record, might write today if only we were only able to send a text to him about this shopping frenzied time. Consider the admonishment of Paul to the Ephesians:. Turning back is called "rep...

My Scripture Studies: Old and New?
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2008/10/old-and-new.html
Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Why do publishers separate and divide the Scriptures, the unchanging word of God as "Old" and "New"? If you think about it, would God who is unchanging. Label His Word in this way? His answer to this:. I am the LORD, I change not." Malachi 3:6. And think about this. 8221;If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” Mark 3:24. This is good news. God teaches us some simple guidelines about how we are to live and He never changes the rules. It's the ...Desig...

My Scripture Studies: The Ten Commandments
http://www.myscripturestudies.com/2008/10/ten-commandments.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Do you know the "ten" commands, the ten precepts God spoke from the mountaintop? Can you recite them from your heart? Before you try, think about the thunderous and mighty precepts and principles of life that were spoken out of the fire, the cloud and thick darkness from atop the mountain to the people of Israel AND to the sojourners and companions that left Egypt with them:. With God nothing changes! It was the same fire Moses witnessed in the middle of the burning bush:.
