Client Pregnant after Miscarrage - Advice Needed. I was contacted by a prospective client in May to work as a doula for their first birth. When she was about 9 weeks along she miscarried. The other day she contacted me to say that she is pregnant again. I'm going to be meeting with her and her husband tomorrow and I know that the emotions from the last pregnancy will need to be dealt with (maybe not at that meeting, but some time). Does anyone have advice on what I might say or how I can act?

She hesitated, uncertain how to classify herself. What I mean is,' explained the recorder, 'do you have a job or are you just a ? Of course I have a job,' snapped the woman. 'I'm a Mom.'.
