stories, experiences and words from the heart
How to go slow: part 1
https://earthtoheart.wordpress.com/2015/08/15/how-to-go-slow-part-1
Stories, experiences and words from the heart. How to go slow: part 1. To do nothing at all is the most difficult thing in the world, the most difficult and the most intellectual – Oscar Wilde. Lately, I’ve been trying (sometimes in vain) to live a slower life. I’ve been trying to quieten my mind and focus my attention on single tasks in order to cultivate productivity and efficiency. I’ve been trying to practice mindfulness, notice my surroundings, eat slowly and enjoy each bless’d bite. I catch a train...
Would you like beans with that?

Stories, experiences and words from the heart. Would you like beans with that? If you read my post “ 5 Things I Love to Hate About Air Travel. But that’s just me. I’m sure some people couldn’t give two hoots. After returning from Vietnam. Where many a flight was taken and many an airport visited) just 3 days later my family and I hit the highway for our annual, coastal holiday. More transit, more transport, ergo more travel-type food…. Impressed, and thoroughly so. Work with young, organic farmers to gro...
Snapshots: Vietnam
https://earthtoheart.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/vietnam-in-16-photos
Stories, experiences and words from the heart. Ok, so I admit to a wee bit of editing… but nonetheless, Vietnam is naturally full of colour, culture and craziness! Here is a snapshot of my most recent adventure. 16 photos, 18 days, countless flights:. Notre Dame look-a-like, Saigon. A little ethnic girl from the tribes in Sapa. Plenty of colour in Sapa town. Planning, planning, planning! The markets in Sapa town. Our first breakfast in Ho Chi Minh – vegetarian all ’round! Saigon, Saigon, I love you so.

Stories, experiences and words from the heart. 7 things I am digging at the moment. For better or for worse, I’m the sort of person who gets really into things. And by “into” I mean a step down from completely obsessed. So I thought I’d share the random assortment of things that I’ve been digging (not literally) as of late, just for conversation’s sake, ya know? Soon enough I’ll be. About sharing a glass with a friend. Pic via William Sonoma. Read it, you’ll see what I mean. What is the magical bean?
2 days in Dalat
https://earthtoheart.wordpress.com/2015/07/15/2-days-in-dalat
Stories, experiences and words from the heart. 2 days in Dalat. After a three day stint in Saigon, Dalat seemed like a good idea; a well needed respite from the relentless honking of the big city. Erin and I were keen to inhale some of that fresh mountain air and see plenty and plenty of greenery. After jumping off the plane at Dalat airport, dodgy passport in hand,. We caught the shuttle to the centre of town for a measly 40,000 VND, one way. Score! Which set us back a whopping. A place to call home:.

Saturday, September 15, 2012. Annie, her Stepmom Misty and I headed out today to catch some Annie attitude on film. It was a fun, but bright morning! In the harsh light, we found some shadier spots and some indirect light. I pulled out the bounce flash a few times, but overall I am happy with these. Here is Annie: Unplugged.
