Elizabeth's Cooking Experiments: Apple Butter
http://elizabethscooking.blogspot.com/2013/04/apple-butter.html
Burgers, Sandwiches, and Other Quick Goodies. Saturday, April 20, 2013. This apple butter is my first experiment with putting something in my crockpot while I was away at work. Do you think I could concentrate at work? Of course not. Instead of brilliant legal thoughts, my imagination went wild with thoughts of burned apples (at best) and charred house remains (at worst). Now if only I could convince myself that this all-day-while-I'm-at-work success wasn't a fluke and I should try it again. Puree with a...
Elizabeth's Cooking Experiments: March 2012
http://elizabethscooking.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Burgers, Sandwiches, and Other Quick Goodies. Sunday, March 25, 2012. Ice cream might be one of my favorite foods. No. I think it is. My favorite food. Unless you count popcorn. Popcorn might win out. Especially if it's the super buttery and salty stuff my husband makes. Yep. That just might win an ice cream vs. popcorn battle. Yep, it is. Milka Alpenmilch Ice Cream. Adapted from a David Liebovitz recipe. 2 cups cream, divided. 3 TBSP cocoa powder. 1 1/2 Milka chocolate bars (about 5 oz). Keep whisking&#...
Elizabeth's Cooking Experiments: 21-Ingredient Chili
http://elizabethscooking.blogspot.com/2013/03/21-ingredient-chili.html
Burgers, Sandwiches, and Other Quick Goodies. Monday, March 25, 2013. In preparation to install my magic shelves, I cleaned out the cabinets. These are my spices. Well, most of them. My cinnamon sticks and ground cinnamon got left out. Clearly, I have a problem. A delicious one. Because of this delicious problem, I was able to make this 21-ingredient chili with only having to buy one spice. I'm not sure if that's something I should be proud of. It's pretty and shiny and I love it. But now onto the chili.
Elizabeth's Cooking Experiments: Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwiches
http://elizabethscooking.blogspot.com/2012/10/grilled-chicken-caprese-sandwiches.html
Burgers, Sandwiches, and Other Quick Goodies. Saturday, October 6, 2012. Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwiches. The magazine companies are on to me. I subscribed to CookingLight about a year ago. Since then, I've been inundated with other magazine subscription offers - Everyday with Rachael Ray, Food Network Magazine, People, Parents, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens. they all want me. I feel so popular. Nevermind that I have no children or need for such a magazine). Place the chic...
Elizabeth's Cooking Experiments: Fried Chicken
http://elizabethscooking.blogspot.com/2008/03/fried-chicken.html
Burgers, Sandwiches, and Other Quick Goodies. Monday, March 24, 2008. I somehow managed to sprain my big toe. Don't ask. I have no idea. Note - this was originally a wing recipe, which we adapted slightly, in cooking time only, for fried chicken. Recipe from www.foodnetwork.com. Pat’s Spicy Fried Chicken (Wings). Recipe from Gina and Pat Neely. 1 tablespoon seasoning salt. 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes. 2 teaspoons black pepper. 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper. 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning. Dredge c...

Sunday, March 21, 2010. Just got off the phone with my super cute mom for a postmortem on our respective weekends. My 60-yr-old parents had a great time at the Taylor Swift concert last night, and 29-yr-old me rocked it hard with a LaRosa's calzone, The English Patient and was asleep by midnight. I'm pretty sure we all enjoyed ourselves about equally. Now, back to my Sunday. Lorelai and Rory await. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). For little purpose other than my own amusement. Wednesday, March 3, 2010. As if being a consumptive weren't bad enough. The Sprinkles on Today's Suck Sundae:. I ran into my ex husband at Blockbuster video while looking for season one, disc two of Gilmore Girls. Neither my local Blockbuster store nor even any of the outlying Blockbuster locations carry any seasons of Gilmore Girls. The movie Sunshine Cleaning is a poor substitute for an evening spent with Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. On the Brighter Side:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Thursday, June 18, 2009. Two out of the three people who read this have commented that I've been a bit MIA these days, which is the kick in the pants I need to get back to posting meaningless jibber-jabber. The explanation for my absence? I've been busy/life is crazy/out of town/other cliched platitudes. Speaking of cliches, I'm totally into twitter these days. I just can't help it- it allows me to express myself in non-sequiturs to my little heart's content. If you are a skeptic, read this article.
Artfully Disheveled: Gross negligence

Monday, April 5, 2010. Also, it's Opening Day! I'd say "Go Reds" if I lived in Cincinnati, which I may or may not. Even if I DID live in Cincinnati, it's possible that I have no idea whom the Reds are playing anyway. I love it when Bonds wins at that game that he plays. They played STL and despite a strong first few innings, STL lost. Boo. April 5, 2010 at 4:42 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). For little purpose other than my own amusement. Artfully Disheveled: I am the office Farrah

Monday, April 27, 2009. I am the office Farrah. If you're a friend of mine on Twitter, you know that I am very predictable. At least 40% of my updates are hummus-related (the other 60% involve Flight of the Conchords). I eat my morning snack at roughly 10:30, as mentioned. And have done so for the past three years. Usually, it involves the best hummus ever. Well, at least from the selection at the Kroger down the street). Nice blog, Brooke. Check out this website for p-a stuff! May 1, 2009 at 10:34 AM.

Sopposedly, we would want to read beyond the required amount but I found it difficult to turn the pages deeper into the book. Perhaps this is because I feel that this could happen to any of us so easily. What do you do when you just aren't strong enough to force someone off of you? We just take it? Could we all possibly be that lucky? Posted by Elizabeth @ 1:27 PM.
