Recently, a Facebook “friend” posted a link to an assemblage of 50 photographs that defy explanation. Tracking down their most recent layer of origin, it turns out, was easy enough, and in the process, I thought I’d found my favorite new blog site of the moment. Black and WTF. Eric Plaag’s weblog on photography, literature, and serendipitous discoveries. She stands on the deck outside the house, the gathering grouped round. Orange and yellow leaves skitter down from the wind-rattled trees, clicking against the wooden benches and rails. Once we go in, you must all be on your best behavior. Get past whatever your differences are. Everyone nods. Twelve heads in unison. She eyes him, long, waiting. He asks with his eyes. I haven’t seen this one before, he offers. I can only imagine.

Ain't it cool news.
