Peter Fagan arrived in Sydney in 1821 from Ireland. In 1830 he took up a land grant of 40.47ha at Point Clare. In 1836 he purchased 24.28ha of land at West Gosford. On this farm he built the Red Cow Inn, which became known a short time later as Cooranbean. This building is known today as Henry Kendall Cottage. HENRY KENDALL COTTAGE AND MUSEUM. The Cottage Grounds are open to the Public 10am to 4pm daily. You are welcome to enjoy the outdoor exhibits in our beautiful grounds. Cottage and Museum Opening Hours. Wednesday – 10.00am to 3.00pm. Saturday – 10.00am to 3.00pm. Sunday – 10.00am to 3.00pm. Public Holidays – 10.00am to 3.00pm. With the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Good Friday). Any Day – 8.00am to 8.00pm. For pre-booked tour groups and excursions. Family (2 adults and children) – $10.
