Sunday, August 30, 2009. Sang six songs at the Salvation Army in Hadleigh today, and was for the first time accompanied for half of them by my brother on guitar. He did really well. Singing so many songs is hard work, but a lot of fun and it seemed to go down well :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Guardians Of The Truth Session: 1983-1985. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. It coming along nicely! The highlight for me is to see the Cross finally up and looking very prominent as it faces the new houses/community. The Cross is very simple in design but I have spent time with the designer highlighting what we wanted, then had to approve the design, material, location - it also had to go to for planning permission! At night it can be illuminated (I have control of the switch in the vestry/office! However, as ...

Car Boot Sale. Joined up with Stretford Corps 7:30 in the morning and brought a lot of stuff we did not really need nor want to travel with. Sold almost all of it, some at ridiculously low prices, but at least we got rid of it. Left around 13:00, ready to sit down for a while and prepare for the next day. And with various things people had said about us. It even showed Lisbeth and me dancing. If I have been successful in uploading it you should be able to see it here. It still does not feel real. A day o...

I’ll go with you. I heard the words as I was looking out into the garden. I wasn’t really looking at anything, just standing by the window, still in a state of chock after the call I had just received. I had just been told The Salvation Army was sending us back to Denmark. It wasn’t a request, it was an order. How had anybody reached her before me? The explanation came quickly: God told me this morning. God is good – all the time! Posted by Henrik Andersen. At Monday, April 20, 2009. Waiting for an update.

Standing on level ground (Ps. 26:12). I couldn’t believe my eyes – was this really the boys who hardly could get a ball across the halfway line last time I watched them? I know that is not unusual, that is what football is all about, but you have to understand that I have seen very little of any of the above in the few matches I’ve been to watch Stockport Vikings. There has been senseless kicking of the ball, very few intelligent passes, hardly any goals – at least scored by the Vikings! What if we relea...

Last week Lisbeth and I together with the rest of our team went for a New Wine conference. It has nothing to do with Wine, apart from the kind you cannot pour into old wineskins. It is a renewal network primarily in the Anglican Church, but not excluded to it. I had stumbled over the network while looking for partners to the. Sitting just across the aisle was a man who had brought his dog to the conference and not only his dog, but a dog basket as well for it to sleep in. I have to say it was a very ...

We have just watched the New Year in Denmark over the internet. Usually we cannot watch Danish television over the internet, but tonight they had removed the block for foreign IP numbers so Danes in the diaspora could listen to the Danish Queen's New Year speech. Apparently Danish Television forgot to block the channel again, so we have left the "television" running in the kitchen all night. It is a bit strange, it is so silent here. In Denmark we saw live television from the Town Hall at midnight an...
