http://exoplanets.sfsu.edu/about.html
The discovery of planets orbiting stars beyond our own has deeply affected our understanding of the fundamental nature of the universe and our place in it. With almost 2000 known extra-solar planets (or "exoplanets"), statistical interpretations of the distribution of orbital parameters are becoming increasingly significant. These parameter distributions help us unlock the mysteries surrounding the planet formation. And the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Exoplanetology: January 2013

January 21, 2013. The Constructs of a New Idea. I've just finished reading a book called 'Design in Nature'. And by sharing what I've learned from that book I am practically validating its premise- that everything in the universe has a tendency to flow- even information itself. Good ideas flow and I am happy to act as a conduit for another great idea to flow onwards via the constructs of social media: That idea is called the Constructal Law. 1) The Constructal Law makes Design a Concept of Science. We us...

How Many Earths? | New Scientist
Looking up at the night sky, it's hard not to wonder how many other planets might be circling those pinpricks of light and how many are home to beings gazing back at us. Today, we are starting to get a handle on the number of roughly Earth-sized exoplanets that might be suitable for life. How to spot a planet. We can take a good guess at the number of alien Earths thanks to NASA's Kepler space telescope. The green dots show the possible planets discovered in Kepler's data so far. In the Goldilocks zone?
