Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water: September 2008
http://barleyhops.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water. Old Station Brewing Co. homebrewery. My time of year. I did allude to my love of Fall, in. It's not just the beer though (yes, you read that right). Yesterday I had a colossal hankerin' for some spaetzle, wurst, and of course beer, but by the time the wife got home from work my. For German consumables would be soon closing. It was Sunday afternoon, afterall. So when you can't go to the Hoffbrauhaus, bring the Hoffbrauhaus to you! I grabbed a spaetzle recipe. I've often ente...

Majestic Moose Brewing: August 2011

August 27, 2011. Brewing up a Storm. Inspired by the hurricane off shore, I decided to brew up a storm inside tonight. After bottling the son-to-be-award-winning English Mild, i brewed two more batches of beer tonight. First, I brewed up the first batch of the year of Connie's Apple Pie beer. This one uses some apple cider that we picked up last weekend from the Catoctin Mountain Orchard, and a touch of cinnamon for the whole apple pie effect. August 25, 2011. Fat Tire, Yuengling Tour and More! We follow...

February 12, 2012. Review: Samuel Adams Alpine Spring. While we were out enjoying a celebratory birthday dinner last week, I had the pleasure of trying Boston Beer Company's latest seasonal beer, Samuel Adams Alpine Spring. While I am still trying to figure out why a company would push their spring seasonal during the middle of winter, I could not pass up the opportunity to give it a chance. For more information on each of these beers, check out the pages on Samuel Adams' website for Alpine Spring. Their...

Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water: How Many Brewers could You Take in a Fight?
http://barleyhops.blogspot.com/2009/02/how-many-brewers-could-you-take-in.html
Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water. Old Station Brewing Co. homebrewery. How Many Brewers could You Take in a Fight? A new post at. 24 brewers, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? Interesting questions. I'll confess, I fight dirty: there's no such thing as a fair fight. But those instances are rare and extreme. I'd rather have a beer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water: March 2009
http://barleyhops.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Barley, Hops, Yeast and Water. Old Station Brewing Co. homebrewery. It's been a month and this page has gotten more stale then yesterday's doughnuts. What's going on? Saturday I took advantage of the nice 70° weather and a yeast cake of WLP. 833 from my Maibock. And brewed 10 gallons of Dopplebock. It was a little bit of a logistical concern, since my mash tun and kettle are both 15.5 gallon kegs. 25 pounds of grain at average grain/water ratio is pretty much the max for the mash tun. Each. Oh, and one m...
