Our camera cord is still missing. Lots of posts and pics when we locate it or buy a new one! Did i mention we are going to the riviera maya in 3 days? Just the hubby and i. I think ( hope. That I have overcome the "sick" period of this pregnancy. I am starting to get my energy back and very thankfully have been able to eat most foods again. I am just about 19 weeks along and have been loving be able to feel our baby kick. I think that is the point for me when it all becomes real.

Get ready for this. We have been on a major road trip. People might call us crazy for traveling over 2,100 miles in a car, with a baby. Let me tell you, our little guy is a fantastic traveler. How did we get so lucky? Here is a run down of our itinerary:. Las vegas - visit the hall's. Utah - surprise jared's family, see our nieces off to college, a 40th surprise birthday party. Please ignore my voice in the background. You don't realize how "annoying" you sound until you hear it in a video clip. Nevertheless, he is adorable. Our little lean machine. 18 pounds, 2 ounces. 18" head (he got Valent genes on this one). He took his first official steps at 9 months and 1 day old. He is up to 12 steps now. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. What you're missing by not having a video monitor! Ok so I LOVE my baby monitor. I was hesitant when Toby said he wanted a video monitor but I am so glad we got it. I am able to get to know Russell in a new way. Like sometimes he likes to sleep on the floor. I would never have known how much he likes books. His room is full of toys and he always chooses books. Because of the monitor I notices him sleeping by the door. Again with the books. LOVE. He sleeps just like Toby.

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. We had a little dinner party for my mom's birthday on Sunday and here is just a little peek of the fun we had. The first thing the kids did.play on the love sac. Surf lessons and kickball tourney. We went to Arcadia to spend time with the Daines. Lucky for us they were in CA one last time before they move to NY. We had an amazing lunch (thank you Ginger) and some good "quality" conversations. It's always a good time with the Daines. We wish you all the best in NY. Nadia wanted Jared to teach her how to surf. He did a great job. He is very animated (if you didn't know) and he is a great teacher. I think she enjoyed it. That just means we played our hearts out!

I wanted to do something fun to tell my family the gender of the baby. Everyone is excited because this is the first grandchild in my family. J and I were also VERY excited to find out. When we found out we were pregnant, I attributed part of the miracle to that plastic baby. I decided to use the baby and bake it into cupcakes for my family. We all got together for a family bbq to celebrate my sister Maren's 30th birthday and to reveal the baby's gender. Happy Belated Birthday Auntie Maren!

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Here are some pictures I though you might like of my favorite boy. Our first drawing on the wall experience. Notice the Vanna White pose. He is saying tada. I am so glad that I was able to remember this is a right of passage for a mom. I then didn't get mad just made it a learning experience. He is getting hair. FINALLY. I LOVE that face. He is praying with his scriptures. Melts my heart. Proof I am doing SOMETHING right. This is how we keep him entertained at the midwife's house.
