Stanley - Family History
http://familyhistory.ianstanley.org.uk/12.html
This is my main area of research, this being my own surname. I hold a large database of Stanley entries and the investigation into my Stanley ancestry has evolved over the years into what amounts to a limited one-name study of the name and multiple family trees covering many parts of the world. To see more on this family please refer to my web site specifically dedicated to the Stanley Family and its Origins. Other families linked by marriage to the Stanleys are listed here in alphabetical order.

Powers - Family History
http://familyhistory.ianstanley.org.uk/7.html
The Powers family have been very consistent in their occupation. They have been in the bricklaying trade for at least 200 years! In fact there is more than one branch of the family which still pursue this line of work today, if you want a wall pointing or a house building you need look no further than your own family! Shame I don't get commission for putting trade their way! Powers was my mother's maiden name. My grandfather, Frank Powers and his wife Beatrice Annie Edgington lived to a ripe old age ...

Families - Botevyle Origins & Family History
http://botevyle.org.uk/4.html
This page is a melting pot of all the associated families that the Botevyle family married into, or offshoots not described elsewhere. We have here two families who changed their name from Botevyle, namely the Thynnes and the Botfields. We also have the Clarke and Gravenor families who were closely associated with the Botevyle family when they moved into Shrewsbury. For more about these two families please refer to the web site about all my family lines, Ian Stanley’s Family History.
Centuries - Botevyle Origins & Family History
http://botevyle.org.uk/2.html
From here you can trace the Botevyle family line from the earliest times in the 13th century (and before) up to the mid-nineteenth century when my Botevyle line married into the Powers. Other Botevyle lines continue to this day in the direct male line from Sir Geoffrey de Botevyle and I have have tried to make mention of some of these at the appropriate place. If your line is not listed here let me know and I’ll be happy to include it is that’s possible within the space available.

Welcome to the Botevyle Pages! This web site really has two purposes. One is to publish our own family line and the other is to give more detail about the origins of this family and in particular to show, in some depth, the interesting life and times of Sir Geoffrey de Botevile. The family originated in France but have been resident in Shropshire, England, since the time of the Magna Carta. They ultimately link into my Powers. La cour de Vars. The Heart of Vars.
Home - Edgington
http://www.edgington.ianstanley.org.uk/index.html
The Edgington Family of Birmingham and Worcester. This family were originally from Worcester. Occupations include china makers, shoemakers and bookbinders. The origins in china making is interesting because it potentially links in with the origins of the well known Worcester Pottery Works in the city. However during living memory bookbinding has been the Edgington trade. In later years the family moved to Birmingham. The direct line as we know it so far is as follows:. Beatrice Edgington, 1908-1988.
