Saturday, February 28, 2009. The Rules of Weight Gain I have been Living By. I'm sure there are more than this list that I don't even know about yet, but here are some of the rules I have been living by that have led to my current weight, which is hovering somewhere near 239 (the needle is right in the middle between 239 and 240). 1) If you drink diet coke, it doesn't matter what else you eat because the diet coke negates any other calories. I mean, duh, right? 2) Calories on special occasions don't count.

Monday, August 3, 2009. Here's my new favorite lunch, which I just had: pita, spread with hummus, toasted in the oven so it's - well - toasty. Then put on spinach, feta cheese and olives. Mmmmmm. Thursday, March 27, 2008. Falling off the wagon (aka, I make myself sick sometimes). Not that I've really been on the wagon that much lately. I guess I don't really know what it would mean to be "on" the wagon. Stop at 1500 calories a day? Who knows. Tuesday, December 28, 2010. So, it's now 2pm. I went for a walk through the woods - 1.6 miles of hilly terrain, 25 minutes. For lunch I had a bowl of italian wedding soup - I love that stuff! Saturday, January 1, 2011. Resolution: To Find Happiness Outside of Food. But it's gotten me considering how much food is linked to happiness with me. Tonight we went to the movies. How on earth was I supposed to sit through a movie without a giant soda? As it was, I kind of cheated and had Hi-C, but it's not soda, and soda is what's verboten at the moment. At some point I might cut out all high fructose corn syrup, and I have been drinking mostly water the past 6 days, but for tonight it was a Hi-C.
