Random Theology: Middle Knowledge? Or Mystery Knowledge?
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/02/middle-mystery.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Middle knowledge is simply a superfluous mystery used to explain another mystery, namely the relationship between God's sovereignty and human responsibility. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Random Theology: How to Answer the Fool: A Presuppositional Defense Of The Faith
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2013/05/how-to-answer-fool.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Sunday, May 19, 2013. How to Answer the Fool: A Presuppositional Defense Of The Faith. Sye wanted a review that made criticisms of the DVD so here is my feeble attempt to do just that. I do not want to rehearse the material in the DVD here, but I strongly recommend every church and Christian get a copy. It effectively answers both the "why" and "how" presuppositional apologetics should be done in a down to earth level. Buy it HERE. Sye overcomes...

Random Theology: Free Offer of the Gospel
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/03/free-offer-of-gospel.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Free Offer of the Gospel. In defending the free offer of the gospel, David H.J. Gay argues this passage plausibly teaches God’s desire to save all people. This would be consistent with the distinction between God’s preceptive and decretive wills. Gay argues:. 8220;God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:3-4). Did Paul mean ‘all sorts of men’? I think there is...

Random Theology: Grace
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/07/grace.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Sunday, July 12, 2015. The trouble with people and language is specific words can loose their significance by the people that use the words; this happens in theology and Christian living. We use the word 'grace', it's in our churches names, worship songs/hymns, bumper stickers, and T-shirts, but is it in the understanding of our hearts? How is it properly defined? Think on these things! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Random Theology: Does the God of Christian Theism Exist? Justin Schieber v. Ignacio Reyes
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2014/09/does-god-of-christian-theism-exist.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Saturday, September 20, 2014. Does the God of Christian Theism Exist? Justin Schieber v. Ignacio Reyes. A lot can be said of this debate but I will keep my comments brief. Justin Schieber frames the debate in terms of two different hypotheses, theism and naturalism, with probability and parsimony as the tools to help support and select between the two rival hypotheses. Schieber argues religious disagreement ( religious diversity? Schieber's rejo...

Random Theology: Sovereignty and Scripturalism
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/07/sovereignty-and-scripturalism.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Sunday, July 12, 2015. What I've been thinking about lately:. Steve Hays posted a critique of Scripturalism; I've enjoyed his interaction with Ryan a Clarkian in the comments section. Paul Manata made a comment that I think is worth considering. Can epistemic infallablism be shown to be true? If it is possible then must it be actual? Cannot axiom S5 help to demonstrate this? If so, is this wildly counterintuitive? A Clarkian Ethical Theory?

Random Theology: Church Fideism?
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2014/06/church-fideism.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Saturday, June 28, 2014. I listened to a sermon, " Partners in God's Amazing Plan. The sermon seems to disparage logic. Or, at least, makes the Christian faith a choice between rationalism or fideism. But this is a false dilemma. There is another choice between the two options; there is divine revelation- that integrates both together. We can have. A reasonable, intellectually satisfying, secure, faith based on God's revelation. My husband and I...

Random Theology: Evangelism and the Ten Commandments
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/04/evangelism-and-ten-commandments.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Monday, April 27, 2015. Evangelism and the Ten Commandments. There is a great emphasis on the Ten Commandments in evangelism. The Ten Commandments are preached to give particular examples of sin that might show a person's need of forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ. But should New Testament believers use primarily, if at all, the Ten Commandments as the standard of righteousness for gentiles and specifically New Testament believers? If so, why?

Random Theology: Fictionalism
http://rcdozier.blogspot.com/2015/02/fictionalism.html
Random discussions on Theology, Evangelism and Apologetics. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Fictionalism reduces to conceptualism since all concepts in the world (whether they be merely linguistic or ontic) are reconstructive of the original concepts in the mind of God.
