Craftypam: Another crafty day!
http://craftypam60.blogspot.com/2015/07/another-crafty-day.html
Wednesday, 1 July 2015. Had a lovely day today over at a friends house, playing with papers, card stock inks, heat gun, stamps, dies - you name it, we played with it! Today was about sharing ideas, tips and techniques - and we also share our stash so we can play with different things. No finished product to show as yet, but I've cut out some flowers that I stamped - these will be incorporated into a card over the next day or so, can't wait to see how it all turns out :-). And so - here are the flowers!

Sunday, 28 June 2015. At last, a chance to show some photos of the cards we made on our crafty day! Firstly, two cards designed by Cheryl :-. The first card is made using a tattered Lace die. They are incredibly expensive, but I have to say the quality is superb and they cut beautifully. The second card involves some stamping, which I love to do. This one is being kept one side for my brother who is a real D I Y fan! Next Sue's cards :-. And finally my two cards :). 29 June 2015 at 13:53. I used to sew a...

Craftypam: July 2015

Monday, 13 July 2015. So back to my wall hanging. This started off life as three plain pieces of MDF. Layers of texture were added with scrunched up paper, glue, embellishments, black paint, delicious inks and gilding waxes. Ta-da! The other photo I took doesn't really do justice to the colours-I'll try to get a better shot tomorrow and add it to this blog post. This photo at least does justice to the textures and the sheen. That's me, front right). Links to this post. Monday, 6 July 2015. Papercrafting ...

Wednesday, 26 November 2014. My vet phoned me this afternoon - got the very good news that the lesion he removed from Tiny's ear was benign, and did not require any further treatment whatsoever! To say I am relieved is putting it mildly :-). Links to this post. Tuesday, 25 November 2014. Links to this post. Monday, 24 November 2014. Slight moment of panic on my part! To be on the safe side he has decided it would be best to remove another tiny cysts which he has found, this is not a major procedure and s...

Grandma’s Brag Book. Strings 'n Things. Life, one stitch at a time. Cleanliness Is Next to…. August 15, 2015. And since it had been years since I’d made soap, I gave her a couple of the books. I still have other books here on the subject and the ones I gave her won’t be missed. The second event was the fact that I had a couple of days off this week. Our conversation about soap making led me to go hunting online, where I found a couple of simple soap recipes for which I had most of the ingredients. I did ...

A Yarn Good Time. A girls journey into the magical world of spinning, knitting and DIYing. Spinning – From Fleece to Yarn. Dyed English Leicester Locks →. Blending Fibre: for cheats. June 16, 2014. Recently, I’ve been thinking about how it could be possible for people to easily blend fibre, without spending lots of money on carders or other expensive equipment. So far, the best I have come up with revolves around dog paddle brushes and comb. I found a few from China on ebay for only a few dollars each.

HAPPY ACRES: January 2014
http://happyacres.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 19, 2014. There are two seasonal diversions that can ease the bite of any. Winter. One is the January thaw. The other is the seed catalogues.". I have not succumbed to the lore of the seed catalogue but the January thaw has come. Living in a river valley means you're aware of seasonal ebbs and flows . I have been spinning. After cleaning my woolee winder. The large gear kept coming on done. I eventually lost the screw and had to write to them for a replacement. As it is better known.
