Finding home in montana. What were the skies like this morning…. Home from the sea. The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach. I have heard them all, and of the three elemental voices, that of ocean is the most awesome, beautiful and varied. Henry Beston, The Outermost House: A Year of Life On The Great Beach of Cape Cod. Finding home in montana. What were the skies like this morning…. Swan Lake is a quiet space, sometimes a reprieve, where I breathe in, breathe out, grateful for the abundance of my privileged life. The world always feels so generous to me at this point in my journey home…and, in Autumn…there are simply no words, only grace. The Garden releases its last. Radiance, not as something failed,. But as its full reason for being: to give. Continually, to its last bit of energetic being. It is the heart of love.

Finding home in montana. What were the skies like this morning…. Gathering Moss, A. Natural and Cultural History of Mosses. By Robin Wall Kimmerer. When I noticed the weathervane point in a new direction, it felt ominous. Inevitable, with the latest high pressure weather system in place, that smoke would make its way across our big valley when the winds were favorable. They curl inward upon themselves, as if suspended in daydreams. And if mosses dream, I suspect they dream of rain.”. August 3, 2015.

Finding Home
Saturday, April 6, 2013. I had barely slept that night and when I was at school all I could think about was Richie. Would he be like I imagined? Would he be funny like he’s on the interviews? Would he smell good like everyone says he does? What would he be wearing? What would I be wearing? I mentally kicked myself for not thinking about that before, I had to look presentable enough after all he was. The rest of the day went smoothly; I had lunch with my friends, finished my classes and I was home by 4 pm.
