The Vauxhall High-Performance Firenza was launched at the 1973 Motor Show at Earls Court in London. Press and public alike were amazed at the radical look of the new car, formed by grafting a fibreglass nosecone onto the front of the standard Firenza, which from this point on would be known as the Magnum Coupe. During the summer months I try to attend a number of classic car shows with one of the cars. For the last few years, I've been taking the Firenza to shows, and before that the Sportshatch. They're a good place to meet up with other enthusiasts, as well as a source for parts when there's an autojumble.
