A Fish With Sticks. Fish Tales about a Guppy Swimming through an Ocean of Fiber. Call Me The Bag Lady (2 of 30). Posted by Lynda the Guppy. November 2, 2012. Project bag, (Maridee? But it was this great, but subtle, Day of the Dead fabric. It didn’t scream LOOK! I bought 14 bags. You heard me. 14. My geeky little knitt...

A Fish With Sticks. Fish Tales about a Guppy Swimming through an Ocean of Fiber. Posted by Lynda the Guppy. November 23, 2012. I know it seems like I’m all about grieving over here, and I guess I kind of am. But there are a number of things I’m thankful for this year which I feel need individual acknowledgment. This year I’m most thankful for…. 1 Every moment I had with my mother. No matter how difficult or emotionally heartbreaking, I wouldn’t trade a moment of it for anything. 11 Marilyn. For every...

A Fish With Sticks. Fish Tales about a Guppy Swimming through an Ocean of Fiber. Once More Unto the Breach… (1 of 30). Posted by Lynda the Guppy. November 1, 2012. 8220;Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.” Ah, Henry V. How I love this play. It’s really my favorite, I think, of all the Shakespeare plays. This, the St. Crispin’s Day speech, at the end when Henry begs Katharine to love him, the man, as well as the King? I’m just not that creative. LOL. It has been pointed out t...NaNoWriMo =...

Moving To LA: February 2010

http://stuffaboutemma.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

From Ireland to Los Angeles. the great transition. Thursday, February 25, 2010. I know, two blogs in the space of a week! Tony is at work today, and my friend is still in Mexico, so I spent another day lounging around the house in my pyjamas. I'm remembering why I was so bummed out when I first came here and didn't spend all my time at Elizabeth and Rick's. It's really BORING! The two main problems that I can see are;. However, things must change! Wednesday, February 17, 2010. What Happened in February.

Musings from a romantyk soul: December 2008

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 31, 2008. The Eve of the New Year. The last weeks have been an adjustment but my husband and I (and Casey) are slowly adjusting to life without Silk. This time of year is bittersweet. as 2008 was a year that brought us extreme happiness and deep sadness. But we take comfort in knowing that Silk lived a long life (15 years) and the last 10 were spent with a devoted "dad" and the last 2 with a loving "mom". I think the year ahead will be a good one. Of course there will be ups and d...

Musings from a romantyk soul: July 2009

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 30, 2009. We're in the home stretch! And if the baby stays in for another 36 hours, I'll be covered by my husband's health insurance and will be VERY happy. So please send vibes that McBaby cooperates and that I don't go into labor before Saturday. 39 weeks—7 days to go! Yes, I lost a pound this week. I KNEW it was water retention last week. Still wearing wedding rings? SIGH* Eventually I will wear my rings on my fingers. Best moment this week:. Thankfully Baby's been moving away. Those wh...

Musings from a romantyk soul: November 2008

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 29, 2008. I'm thankful for my husband. I'm thankful for our dogs, our families and our friends. It's amazing how much I have to be thankful for and how my life has changed so much—for the better—over the last two years. Ever since I met my husband, it's like all my dreams have come true. So I'm so thankful for my life. Whatever the future brings, if we have a child or just raise a pack of dogs, I'm thankful. I hope that you, my readers, have reason to be thankful too. Musings from a romantyk soul: The Good and The Not-So-Good

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2009/10/good-and-not-so-good.html

Friday, October 16, 2009. The Good and The Not-So-Good. As I posted two days ago, McBaby (aka Little Man) is two months old. He went for his well baby visit at the pediatrician on Wednesday afternoon and while overall he's very healthy and doing very well for his age, there was some "not-so-good" news. First with the good stuff. He's healthy. He's thriving. At birth he weighed 9 lb and was 20.5 inches long. Now he's 13 lb 8 oz and 23 inches long. Little Man has an umbilical hernia. Next is the Hydrocele.

Musings from a romantyk soul: September 2009

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 17, 2009. My Baby is One Month Old! Who tells a new mom NOT to worry? I know not to worry but following through with that is not an easy feat. In fact, I was once told that a mother ALWAYS worries, no matter how old her child is. So when one's child is one month old and cannot verbalize how he feels, what he needs, etc., one worries. But, overall, my son is a happy baby who holds his head up (honest! Here's my son the day he turned one month old. Posted by Sweet NJ Mom. New Jersey, Un...

http://romantykrobyn.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 31, 2009. The First Two Weeks. Sorry about that commentary, folks. But my son's bodily functions are very much on my mind these days. I'm so involved in his pee, poop, spit up, etc. that it's somewhat frightening. But his pooping is a sign of health, so if he doesn't poop by 6 pm today I actually have to call his pediatrician's office again. (I call a lot; new mom questions etc.). But the baby is thriving. Here are his stats. 2 DAYS (left hospital). 8 lb 5 oz. 8 lb 4 oz. 8 lb 8 oz. Now I s...

http://stuffaboutemma.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

From Ireland to Los Angeles. the great transition. Monday, November 8, 2010. But my first wedding anniversary is coming up, and it reminded me how long it's been since I updated the blog. Eek! But I do have to just suck it up and get it over with. It's awful not being able to drive, in LA of all places. In time, I suppose, I'll get there. Now I must go think about pie. Moving To LA: June 2010

http://stuffaboutemma.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

From Ireland to Los Angeles. the great transition. Monday, June 28, 2010. A little less wisdom. Well, I got the teeth pulled. All four wisdom teeth at once. EEK! Actually, it wasn't as terrible as I'd feared. The worst part was dithering back and forth, trying to find the right dentist and seeking advice and having all kinds of different opinions coming at me. It's always good to have other opinions, but by the time the day came I was so worked up and frazzled I just wanted it over with. But get 'em pull...
