Building Peace in Nepal. FOUNDING PEACE Building Peace and Health through Sanitation and Education. Proposed by the students of St. John’s College (NM): Carolyn Luppens, David Mcgee, Shishav Parajuli, Chris Pataki, Prakash Pathak, Manish Thapa and Brian Woodbury. The team will assess and address issues of: 1.) health and basic medical education, 2.) accessibility to improved sanitation and water, in the rural districts of Illam and Syangja, where team members have extensive experience.

Woodbury – Raised in Northern Michigan, Mr. Woodbury joined the U.S. Army after attending high school, and spent 4 1/2 years working as a practical nurse with combat hospitals and surgical teams. His interest in literature and a love of the high desert led him to St. John’s College after his service. After college, he plans to pursue a career in higher education.
