Hauntings and the Paranormal. Mar 17th, 2013 at 1:33 PM. Around the time that the therapy began to intensify, strange things started happening in our home. Drawers would open. Items would disappear and days later we'd find them shut up in strange places. I kept wondering if it was me, possibly causing poltergeist-like activity like the accounts I'd read, as teenage girls with 'sensitive' leanings tend to cause them in periods of emotional stress. The activity would happen whether I was in the house or not.
