BUPA Challenge Update 4. December 13, 2012. Well that was a bit too long a break – sorry 🙂 I got slowed down a little by another injury – golfing rather than cycling this time! Managed to step into a sprinkler hole leaving the 8th green at Tanunda Pines you can all stop laughing now. Getting a little close now, only about 6 weeks to go, so I’m starting to add some distance (trying to get some callouses on my bum? 8211; this was Saturday’s ride:. August 28, 2013. Just like last time. And with as little justification now as then 🙂 , here are my voting intentions for the upcoming Australian Federal election. Lower House (House of Assembly). Internet censorship seems to be out of favour this time around so isn’t an obvious problem until the next time of course. Both major parties seem to be in a contest for most stupid on the subjects of the economy and refugees. This election has again tempted the passionate and well-meaning fringe to form politic...

In fact, it could be argued that the whole thing started by accident, but however it started, it currently defines viral , to the extent that is has attracted criticism for its success. It is, of course, the #IceBucketChallenge. And of course the inevitable has happened, and I’ve been tagged (thanks to my perhaps-not-favourite nephew, Ivan 🙂 ). The op...

BUPA Challenge Update 6 The Clock’s ticking! January 23, 2013. Only a couple more sleeps, and we’re on I’m a little surprised that I’m excited at the thought of flogging my body like this 🙂. Next update will probably be the aftermath of the ride – hopefully it’s all good news then! At time of writing, I’m just a few dollars short of my fundraising target – it would be nice to get there, so if you want to help out , it’s all on. The Cancer Council page. BUPA Challenge Update 1 (possibly the first of many) | aqualung's small pieces

BUPA Challenge Update 1 (possibly the first of many). July 10, 2012. OK – so I’ve decided to ride 92km next January, and the furthest I’ve ridden up until now is about 40km less than that. Time to start work. Last Thursday I decided to push it a bit on a ride I’ve done before:. That’s actually the fastest pace I’ve done, so was pretty happy. Had a couple of more leisurely rides over the weekend with Cheryl, about 80km in total. More later don’t forget the sponsorship page can be found here. The opinions ...
