Tuesday, October 16, 2007. The story tells, to me of how people treat and respect the world. Meaning the guy who hunts with his car vs the man who hunts with his bird, the falcon. It show honor and respect for nature by hunting with the bird, showing how in touch. With nature he really. Is On the other hand, the one guy that hunts with his car. chases after the gazelle. With his car till the animal can run no more. This is a very disrespectful way to die and is a shame that someone or something.

Sunday, October 14, 2007. Men in the sun. Over all, I believe the story of men in the sun can have two different meanings. Men in the sun as in the place that they are from, going to Palestine. Then also the meaning of men in the sun in the tank of the truck. My question is why are they going away from their homes to find jobs? Why cant they find a job were they live currently? It is a collection of maxims and advice that fortunately, while it has a spiritual feel, does not really identify itself with any particular religion. Monday, December 3, 2007. After reading this section of the book I completely lost interest in the book and really had to push myself to finish it. The book does have a few good points in it with dry humor, but overall I did not enjoy this book at all. Unfortunately I found more web sites on how to cook a turkey than I did on the country of Turkey. This is a web site that talks about the history of Turkey during the Ottoman Empire. Tuesday, September 25, 2007. After reading the history of 1001 Arabian Nights, I have a better understanding of how they came about. It's been interesting reading them.
