What seemed like a dream for the Mayor of Tulkarm six months ago will soon be true. The old city hall will be rebuilt and turned into a hotel- actually the first hotel in Tulkarm. The rebuilding will start in March and take approximately four months. And the funding comes from Italy. Viva Italia! That’s certainly true in the West Bank. January 9, 2011.

After the Friday prayer there is often men demonstrating against the plans to demolish 88 houses and turn the area into a parc. Das Wasser vom Dorfbrunnen wurde gefasst und wird zur Bewässerung auf die Felder der Siedlungen geleitet. Für die Dorfbewohner bleibt fast nichts mehr. Menschen und Pflanzen haben zu wenig Wasser. Erlebnisse aus Palästina und Israel – vorallem Tulkarm. Neuere Beiträge →. Der Weg nach Shufa. Februar 18, 2011. Hier endet die Strasse von Tulkarm nach Shufa. Shufa ist ein kleiner Ort auf einem Berg, nicht weit von Tulkarm. Aber der Durchgang ist durch diese Felsblöcke für Autos gesperrt. Weiter geht es nur zu Fuss. Auf dem Rückweg sehe ich an der Strassensperre einige Leute mit Gepäck und Kinderwagen, die auf ein anderes Büsschen warten, das dann in einen Umweg nach Shufa hoch fährt. Februar 11, 2011.
