WELCOME TO FRIENDS OF SAM. Sam is a 16 year old boy who has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a fatal genetic disorder that progressively weakens the body’s muscles. DMD is the most common and most severe form of Muscular Dystrophy. Friends of Sam Inc. was formed by those close to Sam in order to raise awareness and much needed funds for his ongoing care, giving him and his family a better quality of life.
