We found excellent tickets and so Ryan offered to watch the older two kids while I took Elisa out to visit family. We had a lot of fun! Elisa got to take a bath in Grum. Papa's new farm sink. Everyone seemed happy with what they got. Matt's reaction to each present was about the same as this one. Everything was "awesome". He was fun to watch. His favorite was his "Hungry Hippos" game. Katie was happy with her scooter. She got a telescope also. We are still figuring it out. Elisa was just happy with all the wrappings!

Saturday, September 6, 2014. End of summer Events. Our last stop for the summer was in Utah. We got to spend a day with our good friends the Beatties and Ramsdens. We saw a cool rainbow while traveling home from Utah. Logan earns his First Class in Scouts. Aliyan and Denton's first day of school, 1st grade and 4th grade. We love their teachers so far. Logan has his first Band Concert of the year. There are a ton of freshman this year. Logan made top band which is fantastic for a Freshman. 4th of July Fun.

Blender Banana Oat Pancakes. 2 cups rolled oats. 1 1/3 cups milk. 2 teaspoons baking powder. Place all ingredients except egg in a blender and blend until smooth. Add egg and blend for a few seconds more. Cook on a hot skillet. Recipe adapted from here. 2 1/4 cups warm water. 1/4 cup margarine, melted. Recipe from Lauren Thomson.
