Monday, November 2, 2009. Tototek SNES Flash Cart Review. The Tototek SNES flash cart. And the NEO Myth cartridge. Both retail for twice this. It's made in Hong Kong and is still being produced so you're getting a new product, not something 10 or 15 years old. Tototek. The programmer and flash cartridge, respectively. Provides a full explanation of the chips and also includes a handy list of what games used them. The Tototek cartridge is significantly more simple to use than the PowerPak which I previous...

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. PowerPak NES Flash Cart Review. I recently got a hold of a PowerPak NES Flash cart (which you can get here. If you're not aware, the PowerPak is a custom designed cartridge that essentially serves as an interface between Cartridge ROMs and Famicom Disk System Images on a Compact Flash card and the NES system itself. That's really oversimplifying, considering the NES's complicated memory mapper system, but for the purposes of gaming, that explanation suffices. Emulators. FAT...

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. How to encode to OGG (Theora / Vorbis) with VLC. Since we've been asked this quite a lot, I'm just going to make a little tutorial. Thursday, September 30, 2010. When the SNES PowerPak was first announced, I wasn't as excited as I should have been, mostly because I had already purchased the Tototek cartridge. I still wanted to get it, mind you, but it was a desire I put on hold. A couple of weeks ago, I finally caved to my desire and put an order in for one. Retrozone's description of the cartridge:. Just copy your games onto one Compact Flash card, insert into the SNES PowerPak, and play! One thing I will say; the cartridge isn't re...
