The Genealogy Interpreter: "I used to have a wife. Now I have a genealogist."
http://genealogyinterpreter.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-used-to-have-wife-now-i-have.html
Thursday, May 3, 2012. I used to have a wife. Now I have a genealogist.". I used to have a wife. Now I have a genealogist." So says my husband who has witnessed and (thankfully) supported my transformation into a total genealogy geek. I've always been curious about the stories of my family history, but the compulsion intensified around three years ago. Recently, I enrolled in the summer program at Boston University, joined the Association for Professional Genealogists and the New England Historic Genealo...
The Genealogy Interpreter: Unique Mother's Day Gift
http://genealogyinterpreter.blogspot.com/2012/05/unique-mothers-day-gift.html
Saturday, May 5, 2012. Unique Mother's Day Gift. There is no way I will ever be able to top my Mother's Day gift from last year. The story unfolds in my beautiful home town of Northampton, Massachusetts. I grew up only a short walk along the Mill River from historic Smith College. I know in which dorms Sylvia Plath and Julie Nixon lived. I even knew which dorm was rumored to have a secret escape passage from the days of "Indian attacks." To this day, when I hear someone say, "Smith? Many of my life miles...
The Genealogy Interpreter: "Sorry Folks... He's Taken!"
http://genealogyinterpreter.blogspot.com/2012/05/sorry-folks-hes-taken.html
Monday, May 21, 2012. Sorry Folks. He's Taken! How often does this statement ring out in your home? In ours, it is said all the time. It reminds us to keep things in perspective and not take life too seriously. It is also a playful affirmation that we find each other lovable, even after a gaffe. In honor of our 20 year anniversary on Wednesday, I'd like to profess to the world some of the reasons why I love my husband, Robert Simring:. He doesn't take himself too seriously. He is an excellent father.

Providing the Key to Your Family History. This is a great site for getting started. While costly, it allows access to an immense amount of international documents, though a domestic subscription costs much less. It is mostly user friendly. However, many documents are transcribed incorrectly. Still, it is invaluable and useful on a daily basis. Every document Genealogy Interpreter. Has found on this site has also been readily available elsewhere. Very frustrating. Association for Professional Genealogists.

Introducing the Witches of Massachusetts Bay website. As some of you already know, I've been studying, researching, and writing about the Salem witch trials for 20 years. I love Salem. But when I visit, I expect to see evidence of the 1692 witch trials. But where is the court house? The tangible objects that remind us of the victims, the accusers, the judges? Instead of blogging these last few months, I've been putting together my new Witches of Massachusetts Bay. Get Ready for a Roadtrip. Includes ongoi...
