So I guess I've moved on from this blogger spot. I've got a more viable tumbler thing. Happening. Not many words, but lots of pictures and projects. It just seems like a more dynamic and flowing environment. So if you're interested, check it out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My name is Jason Sutherland. A while back I traced what happened. With a few photo mailers I received, and I thought I’d add an update to that conversation. Basically, this morning I looked around my space and realized that photo mailers were stacking up around me. Although I do look at them all, and find inspiration in more than a few of them, I realized that my desk was becoming a dead end. Not cool. That seems like an excellent success for any mailer. How to rule the world. I love a whiteboard brainstorm. This one's derived from a conversation with a coworker about how to influence within an organization, but I think it has broader applications:. 1 Engage with genuine interest and confidence. 2 Develop an opinion. 3 Create an expression of that opinion. 4 Publish it. Speak it. Embrace it. Evangelize it. Live it. Rinse, lather, repeat). Dropping into research mode. Always interesting. Always gives me good rabbit holes to go down into and poke aroun...

The Other Side of the Shelf: The Central Lettering Record
http://theothersideoftheshelf.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-central-lettering-record.html
Monday, 15 October 2012. The Central Lettering Record. Recently we saw a little exhibition of type and signage at Central St. Martins College of Art. It shows a tiny selection of the thousands of images and objects in the collection which is curated by Phil Baines and Catherine Dixon. Find out more here. We were pleased to see some of the vintage enamel and copper letters we sell online. The AG in the bottom photo was sent out to a happy customer this week. The virtual doors opened in 2009.

The Other Side of the Shelf: February 2012

Sunday, 5 February 2012. The girl with the seven horses. See the story here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Are co-owners of Shelf, a small shop in East London which opened its actual doors from 2001 to 2011. The virtual doors opened in 2009. Always finding it difficult to explain the concept of the shop, this blog seemed like a good way of trying to answer that question; an exploration of things that interest Katy and Jane. Shelf itself sits somewhere in the middle of all this. A year in charlie's pocket.

http://theothersideoftheshelf.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 14 September 2012. This week is London Design week, there are far too many swishy things to see, and parties to go to. Its so refreshing to see that one of our favourite shops, SCP. Has some 'earthy' stuff going on from Makers and Brothers. There will be live basket making in the front window by Irish willow weaver Kathleen McCormick! Go see it if you can. Labels: Design week 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The virtual doors opened in 2009. Shelf itself sits somewhere in the middle of all this.

This Week in History. Wednesday, 19 August 2015. I am taking you back to my day out in North Yorkshire! Me, My parents, my Auntie and Uncle took a day trip to Masham, where they held a massive stream rally! Since I was a little girl I have always loved motors, traction engines and bikes! This steam rally had it all so, me my Dad and Uncle were in our element! I have always been a bit of a tomboy, so this day out was perfect! This will be mostly photo based and I will try to explain where I can! After hav...
