In the weeks before our departure we read up on all we could about Peru and about the dispensing of reading and distance glasses. We were to be the Optical Department! Since we have both lived with myopia and now with maturing eyes, we had first-hand knowledge of this. And we bought our first pair of scrubs! Were interview by local media! On Sep 7th, 2014.

Posted by ThuyTran in Peru. On Sep 7th, 2014. We provided free healthcare at four different sites, two in Ica and two at highland villages outside of Trujillo. I was able to help out at the eyeglasses station along with Greg (a.k.a. El Greg) where we tested eyes with letter and number charts and gave out reading and distance glasses.
