It was surprising to find out that a website that I thought would be great for kids didn't really measure up. I had also never really checking for a page author. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Today in class I learned how to make a PowerPoint. This is something I already knew how to do, but it was a good review of all the functions. I had fun creating a story with PowerPoint and learning how to link them. Is There are rules that go along with it that you need to know, but when in doubt only use 10%. Learning about the web quest was interesting. There are so many different kinds of learning such as project based, problem based, and inquiry based learning.

Wednesday, July 22, 2009. I appreciate the direction from Karen to sign up on the wiki page. I think that would be very useful for managing groups of students presenting lessons, signing up for computer lab schedules. Monday, July 13, 2009. Class Today: July 2, 2009. Today in class we learned about Skype. I think this is a great tool and a wonderful way to help people across the world. We also did a group WebQuest project. I think these kinds of activities would need a lot of preparation but I think it would be great for students and give them an experience they would never forget.
