Whitewater Kayaking with no experience needed! Some like to call this the revolution in rafting. Navigate your own sit-on-top kayak down the river following one of our experienced guides. These trips are geared for an adventurous person who is comfortable in water. We will paddle over fun and exciting class two rapids on the Wild and Scenic Klickitat River, with an optional class three at the end. These kayaks are rated up to weights of 250 lbs and become much more unstable at the higher weight limits.

Class starts in the pool where students are introduced to kayaking by learning wet exits, controlling the boat on edge and working on the Eskimo Roll. After lunch class resumes and students learn a variety of strokes and the fundamentals of boat control in moving water, paddling in a straight line, eddy turns and peel outs. Students will focus on river safety and river preparation for the following day. Sat - Mon. or any three consecutive days. All times are a rough approximation, classes often go later.
