Because I am tired and have to wake up earlier than usual, I won’t write much…. We had a great day with the kids and the team went on a boat tour of the bay and bird islands during our lunch hour. Now I will start posting pictures before I fall asleep and drop my phone. Newer post →. 2 thoughts on “ A day of pictures. July 16, 2015. Thank you for the pictures!

About and Where I’ve Been. The Lord is the strength of my life…psalm 27. Adventures of a child of the Living God. The day I became popular…. July 14, 2015. Towards the end of the afternoon I heard my name called out as I walked by a group of teens who had just learned Gaga ball. As I turned around a few of the guys cheered (for me! And waved me over for a few selfies and to show me off to their friends. 8220;Why are you guys out here? 8221; I asked. Lo and behold, they were in detention! The team enjoyed...

About and Where I’ve Been. The Lord is the strength of my life…psalm 27. Adventures of a child of the Living God. July 12, 2015. Praise the Lord for a beautiful day! It was hot and humid, but that’s what we expect here. We had a nice little breeze, too! Today we met with Pastor Byron at the school and we spent an hour talking about the history and his passion for the church, school and community. He wants to reach everyone for Christ. The team had some great questions about all of the above. Fill in your...

About and Where I’ve Been. The Lord is the strength of my life…psalm 27. Adventures of a child of the Living God. July 9, 2015. Alright. Last night was crazy. Well, at least the first half of the shift. And you know, in emergency medicine, we roll with the punches and get everyone taken care of. But I’m exhausted. Mentally and physically. I enjoy being charge nurse. I thrive on responsibility. Team work is the best. But I am so glad last night is over. Thank You, God for sending them. Thank You for g...

Interview Day! | Kelly Ashworth
https://kellyashworth.wordpress.com/2011/01/03/interview-day
In search of my next adventure. I almost couldn’t contain myself from posting something this morning, as I was running out of ways to entertain myself while “patiently” awaiting for 10 am to roll around for my interview. And now its all over! Alas, the process has been taken back out of my hands. She gave me the unofficial ‘I’m planning on nominating you’ and said if I don’t hear from her by mid-January, I should shoot her an email. So now I wait. BUT I’M SO PUMPED! Penny For Your Thoughts. http://iwishiranmore.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
I wish i ran more. Poke around a little. Saturday, April 13, 2013. Since then I've just been hosting a couple of other PCVs, making friendship bracelets, and playing with baby goats. I leave tomorrow morning. I remember my first night here like it was a month ago, it really doesn't seem like this has been two whole years. It's scary how quickly life moves. Thursday, April 4, 2013. No Do I need to wait until I'm completely ready? That kind of momentum is really hard to stop. April 14 - head down to Kampala.

i wish i ran more: Packing List
http://iwishiranmore.blogspot.com/p/packing-list.html
I wish i ran more. Poke around a little. Here goes nothing - no judging. This is by no means. Edit: Eight months in, I want to go through and appraise this list. italicized notes are my thoughts as of now. Edit: Seventeen months in I edited my edits. I seriously would have brought one backpack. Skirts (6) super. i wear them all the time, but half as many would be fine. Shirts (cute ones, and a couple Ts, erring on the side of conservatism - about 15? Way too many, have since given a lot of them away.
