I'm pretty sure that Booth took this photo of David painting the swing set in Cypress, California in 1970.I would have been too fearful that he would fall from the top of that ladder. And Doug called for help after he got stuck when he was sneaking goodies from the cabinet where I kept them. This summer I have put some of my slides on the computer. Lots more to go, though. Sunday, August 29, 2010. My sister Mari's daughter, Meghan, passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago, and we drove to Monument, Colorado to attend her memorial. This is the lovely view from the patio outside "The Gathering Place" where Mari attends religious services. We ate out here after the program. Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Driving up to Girls' Camp and Picking up Matt. We dropped off their van to Matthew Olenslager and Ellyn Mae and Kaiyan at the airport this morning. Monday, October 11, 2010. It's time to get the garden ground ready for next spring, so Guenther pulled out the zucchini and spaghetti squash on Saturday. We had a bountiful harvest of zucchini. I grated a lot and baked it in my favorite zucchini fudge brownie recipe in addition to soups, ratatouille, etc. We threw some into the pasture, and the lambs went to town on it. Friday, May 28, 2010. Spring has brought a lot of cold, rainy weather, but the fields are a gorgeous green, so I guess that it is worth it. Here's a photo of Caleb (Jackie's son) roto-tilling our garden. It needed a second go-round, but the tiller stopped working, and we were thankful for our neighbor who offered to till it for us. Here's our new downstairs bathroom. I am so pleased.Bryce, you'd love it. Can you recognize McCall? She and her date are headed for the Prom. She said they had a good time.

Bryce and Rachel Weight Adventures from Alaska. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Good eats at the station. This was some of the rabbit we cooked up at the station last friday. I forgot how much it tastes like turkey. I made a ton of mashed potatoes with caribou bacon mixed in, they were about as good as the rabbit, which was unreal. The meat was just falling off the bone by the time the rabbit was done. It was like having thanksgiving dinner that night, maybe better. Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
