In 1975 the original Greater Mountain Road Council was formed primarily to address issues of importance to residents along Mountain Road. That Council eventually evolved into the Greater Pasadena Council (GPC). In 1983 GPC expanded to include the entire peninsula. There were 40 neighborhoods represented in this umbrella organization that focused on civic issues. The GPC method to accomplish it's goals is to be very project based. PROJECT #2015-001: "WELCOME TO PASADENA" SIGN PROJECT. Project Manager: David McFarland:. The goal of this project is to construct a number of signs at various main artery entrances into Pasadena. The initial vote to accept the project took place at the GPC general membership meeting in January and initially includes two locations: (1) Ft. Smallwood Rd. just south of the Stoney Creek Bridge and (2) within the median strip where Route 10 and 100 interest and cross. Project Manager: Sam Tanner: 443-618-2585.
