Recipe of the Day. Stewed Steak (From Corfu) Serves 5 persons. 2 lbs (1 kg) loin or Veal chops, cut into inch slices. 2-3 cloves Garlic crushed,. 1 cup hot water. Toss the meat in flour. Heat the Oil in a saucepan and fry the chops. Add Garlic, Vinegar, Water and Parsley. Cover and cook over a low heat for about 1 hour . or until Meat is tender and sauce has thickened. Hanna and I, live in the south of England. I was born in Ioannina (Yannina), a town located in the North-West of Greece. Today Ioannina is a pretty medium size university town situated next to a large lake with a picturesque little island. Ours sons, Todd and Alexis, both were born in St. Leonards-on-Sea, in the UK.
