http://chasingrabbitsdc.blogspot.com/2010/08/two-dinner-dates.html
Random attempts to bake, cook, and keep a contemporary urban lifestyle. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. So Joel was in town this past weekend and we had two amazing dinners together. I must say the things that Hawaii, Denver, and Durham cannot offer is a nice French dinner and a stroll around the Capitol at night. For dinner Saturday night we headed down to Eastern Market to eat at Monmarte. Crust - or just use your favorite pie dough recipe. 8 tblspns cold butter. 1/4 cup sour cream. 2 tsp lemon juice.

Sciency. Crafty. Cute. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Glittery Sushi Ornaments are Back! I changed them up a little bit from last year and I'm really comfortable with what I've created. I added a new one, the Temaki Roll, and took away one of the Maki (round) rolls because they just weren't that exciting. They're all sparkly and fun! Ebi says "Ruff ruff. They're really cute. Now take me out.". Saturday, November 19, 2011. This Tarheel went to a Duke game! After the game there was a special encore presentati...

Random attempts to bake, cook, and keep a contemporary urban lifestyle. Monday, August 23, 2010. Veggies, Granola, Roasted Chicken and Tomoato in a White Wine Sauce, and World Peace Cookies. So I haven't updated in two weeks. Sorry it has been crazy at work and Joel was up again this past weekend, which meant food adventures in DC! 2 simmer is good, 2 sizzle is better. Jubel with an A. From Stick Rock Farm,. Of Lick Creek,. From his 83 years. The long gone family. Father, mother,. Fenced to keep others out,. Or them all in together. Locked and rusty,. Creaky, yet sturdy enough. And hovered your lips. The lush whispered sigh. From you to me. And me to you. Jubal, you whispered,. Talking straight to my parted lips. Jubal was known as the father. Of all who play the harp and flute. It’s in the bible. Look it up. I nodded, Barely.

kimbroly: The Scrap Exchange fun
http://kimbroly.blogspot.com/2012/03/scrap-exchange-fun.html
Sciency. Crafty. Cute. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. The Scrap Exchange fun. I love The Scrap Exchange in Durham. It's a giant reuse center. It's warehouse-giant! It's decently organized with paper sections, wood sections, fabric sections, a Science section. I only go if I know that I can dedicate some time because there's so much going on and it's easy to get distracted. It's a craft supply treasure hunt. I'm using this knitting tool pouch-thing for makeup brushes. I ironed the fabric,. Gifts that can be use...

Limes, cherries, carrots, broccoli. I can't feel bad about eating ANY of this stuff. Unlike a trip to Only Burger. That will make you feel guilty for weeks! Tomorrow is the first day of Fall! The lake with an airplane overhead. Pretty flowers and grapevines everywhere. Cat tails by the water. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Fast forward through ru...

Sciency. Crafty. Cute. Monday, September 12, 2011. This weekend we visited the NC Zoo. And I fell in love with the Horned Puffins. They are so cute! The Puffins exhibit allows you to view them in a large aquarium that provides above-water and below-water views. That way you can see them diving for food. These birds can swim! They're like little penguins. They were moving around so fast that I couldn't really get a good picture. These turtles were enjoying sunbathing. Hotter than an otter! This little old...
