Blossom drop happens when a tomato plant aborts its flowers. as in the photo below. This can happen for a number of reasons but the most regular cause is because the flowers fail to pollinate. This happens when the air is too dry or too humid and the pollen finds it difficult to find its way to the ovary in the flower. Labels: tomato blossom drop.

Curled leaves and branches on tomato plants are often caused by stress. Of course, disease, weather conditions, and soil problems, including under and over watering, can cause stress and leaves and leaf branches to curl. Sometimes if roots have been damaged by over feeding or disease, this can cause a restricted uptake of water by a plant.

One of the jobs that I'm not particularly fond of, is cleaning and sterilising my pots. For years I've used the usual 3 inch pots to transplant my seedlings into, but now I'm using what I think is better . plastic cups.
