For the fourth time in 9 months a moving truck has been loaded up with all earthly possessions and driven off to a new address filled with hope and expectation. Thursday, August 15, 2013. TRASH- a card game. I have been spending quite a bit of time these last few months entertaining grandchildren. I am always on the outlook for fun and easy games to play with multiple children of varying ages. My daughter, Cara, introduced us to TRASH the other day, we spent the whole visit playing the game with her three children ages 3, 6 and 10. We introduced the game to 5 of our other grand children this last weekend, and they enjoyed it as well. 1 deck of playing cards.

Monday, October 8, 2012. The month of September was filled with moving boxes- for 3 of my children. We thought we would be the ones moving soon, but no, our plans are put on hold for a bit. Instead we helped 3 of our children move. Luckily they all moved across town and not across country. Sunday, November 11, 2012. Last spring we looked at our schedule and decided that a few weeks at home would offer the time needed to lay the wood floor in our Dining Room. So we ordered the floor, it arrived and we put the pieces in the front room to acclimate and wait. Then our daughter called with the news that she needed to have back surgery AGAIN. The flooring pieces continued to wait in the front room until a new window of time could open up. Wake up floor, it is time. A sturdy floor to last decades.

Sunday, August 25, 2013. I remember as a little girl going to my grandmother's house after church for dinner. It was fun and exciting because all of my cousins were there, the adults were busy visiting and doing dinner things so the kids were free to play. I have learned that I like a roast the old fashioned way, slow cooked in the oven. To me the taste from the slow cooker or crock pot just wasn't the same. A mental memory needed to be met. Friday, July 13, 2012. We were able to have our 4 oldest grand daughters come stay with us last week. We had a great time sewing, crafting, cooking and designing. We went to the beach and aquarium, church and of course, shopping. They giggled, laughed and made memories. My house has remnants of fabric, paper, beads and yarn littered in all corners.
