But most of them either are not commercially viable or depend on a lot of pre-processing to convert the available waste to fuel. I would like to mention two projects in India which have been able to cross the above hurdles and are getting rave reviews all over and can develop to be the technology the world will take notice of.

But still there was something to cheer as the Excise duty on Hybrid Cars. The Honda Civic Hybrid is also expected to be launched later in the year or early next year and will benefit from the duty cut.
