There was also an opportunity to sample a small sip of the local corn beer. Not too much though, as mountain hiking and alcohol aren't an advisible combination. Hablo muy poco español. Thursday, 10 December 2009. Same old same old. We rustled up the enthusiasm to visit the museum of independence and were not massively impressed. The original decleration documents and memorabilia were quite interesting, but they were overwhelmed by the poorly executed oil paintings of generals, politicians and presidents on every wall.
