I don't know what to hope for - validation that what we've been saying for a long time is right (she's NPD and generally psycho) or relief that she'll be able to stay in this nursing home. Either way, this is hard on my dad. I don't want anything to do with her, don't want to see her, don't really even want to think about her. My mother in law and I were talking recently (an event in itself! X) and I made a joke about having made our 9-year old son a "shopping junkie" because he loves going shopping with me (no matter where! She looks at me and says "you know, you shouldn't be doing that. You'll make him gay.". And they aren't gay!

Okay, time for more SJW I think - my mood is starting to tank a bit. Part of it is because my mother is having one of those NPD/cognitive downswings. We went to the grocery store yesterday. Safeway. Now, like most other grocery stores for the last decade or so, Safeway has this feature where either you either scan your club card in or you put in your phone number. Not new or particularly different, just Safeway instead of Albertson's. Mom, put in our phone number.". She hit clear once, then continued.

Day Three. 600 Calories. Oct 31st, 2008 at 6:26 AM. I FAILEDDDD. I can feel it. 2 funsized twix - 160. Before I say anything, I wanna say the effects I have noticed the past couple of days. Which are all pretty normal, prolly. Black around the eyes. Hands turning different colours. Well YAY todays day three. And I have yet to step on the scale. And It happens to be HALLOWEEN.
