David Haviland Photography: Stand Tall
http://havilandphotography.blogspot.com/2007/05/stand-tall.html
Welcome to my world and the images that come from there. Visit my Fan Page on Facebook. Wednesday, 16 May 2007. Subject is a picture I took last December in Albury. During the height of the NE Victorian bush fires. The smoke from these fires had settled over Albury. I have used this tree as foreground interest in images before and I had this in mind for an image this day. Following is the image I had in mind. When I first got home I still had the above image in mind and processed that image. It was n...

Welcome to my world and the images that come from there. Visit my Fan Page on Facebook. Wednesday, 27 April 2011. Anzac Day March and Service. For those that do not know, Anzac Day is a day of commeration in Australia and New Zealand to remeber those that have fallen in service to their country during times of war. I attended the Anzac Day march and service at the NSW South Coast town of Milton. Although not as large as many services it was very well attended and was still a solemn and moving event.

HDR – ‘Henry’ gets the makeover | Johno60's HDR work
https://johno60.wordpress.com/2009/04/12/hdr-henry-gets-the-makeover
About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. April 12, 2009. HDR – ‘Henry’ gets the makeover. It has been a while since I have done a HDR of any description. One of my own favourites is this one. I did two takes on this, both were 3 shots (shot in RAW), 1 stop apart, hand held (well, sort of, I was resting on a wire fence). Shot with a Canon 40D, with a Sigma 10-20 attached (and polariser). Processed and Tonemapped in Photomatix, finished off in Photoshop. Henry – #1. You a...

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. Monthly Archives: June 2015. June 2, 2015. HDR – moving along. Just over a year since my last post. Am I still interested in HDR? I did download a paid plugin for Adobe Lightroom so that I could do some HDR within the program, and while I was happy with the efforts (bringing the image right back into LR as a 16bit TIF) It seemed that it was a better way to go. Posted in HDR Techniques. As seen by Lisa Kenny. HDR – The Boot. Just ...

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. October 13, 2007. Multiple File HDR – When things go wrong (but work out ok) Part II. With multiple files for HDR it’s important that,. A) you have a steady hand,. B) have a camera with a decent burst rate, or. C) do the right thing and use a tripod. Another aspect of HDR is, how much saturation is just too much? This entry was posted on Saturday, October 13th, 2007 at 9:31 pm and posted in HDR. October 15th, 2007 at 8:56 pm.

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. March 13, 2010. Must be about time I updated this. (Has been almost a year). I’ll upload a larger version elsewhere and update so you can see the detail. John Conway 2010 ”. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0. On HDR from a...

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. January 31, 2009. HDR – The Boot. No, I have’nt got rid of my HDR urge (although I have been slack with my uploads). The Boot refers to my shot I took tonight, I should do a few more over the weekend, they will be of the Hot Rod variation (and maybe a seascape thrown in). Without further ado, I give you, a cropped section of, The Boot. A larger version can be seen at RedBubble. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Winter is over!!! | Johno60's HDR work

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. September 23, 2010. Well, that’s my excuse for not doing any HDR shots lately. Last week went out for a shoot with a friend, who besides being a “photo nut” also happens to ride Mountain Bikes. (These guys are loco). Pretty happy with the results and before anyone comments (if anyone at all) this ISN”T HDR, so why is it in here? Brings out detail in those shadows that would be lost. HDR and ND400 ». Merge to 32-bit HDR Plugin for Lightroom | Johno60's HDR work

About me and HDR. Johno60’s HDR work. Exploring the wonderful world of HDR. May 27, 2014. Merge to 32-bit HDR Plugin for Lightroom. Been a while since I’ve posted a blog on HDR, so whatever audience I had before, I may well be posting into the wilderness. So I downloaded the sample (which works perfect, although there is the watermark) but you do get to see how it will perform. Processing the image in LR is a breeze. How often will I use it? Probably more now because of ease of use. For anyone who does r...

The Havilands
Sunday, November 4, 2012. We had a fun Halloween this year. Kendall was going to be Batgirl until the last minute when she changed her mind and decided to be Minnie Mouse. We found out later that it was because her best friend was also Minnie Mouse. (We already had both costumes, so I let it go) =) Dane was steadfast in his decision to be Spiderman. He played the role well! They had a ton of fun running together from door to door and brought home a pretty nice haul. Spiderman scaring poor Minnie Mouse.
