Even with my hearing aids turned off I can hear the surf. It's quite gentle as there is a very small beach a few hundred feet from the condo which the small waves break on. I remember reading, probably several years ago, that the reason why so many people are unhappy with their lives is that they believe that life should be like a story book. A little pain, some really great times, a challenge or two, quickly overcome and then either happily ever after or screen fades to black. Not huge excitement today, or swimming in bliss, but just doing what needs to be done. Life goes on . Day 10 - Fantasys End.
