Huckleberry Friend: October 2012
http://huckleberry-rache.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Random and infrequent thoughts. Monday, October 29, 2012. Days 2 and 3 on St. Cuthbert's Way. There were many things to see - both natural beauties and manmade, and some curiosities. Thistles may be prickly, but in a group they make a swath of gentle color on the hillsides. A deep footpath through quiet and shady woods. This is Pat - she has long legs and walks fast and is usually way way ahead of me. Pat is an old hand at crossing stiles and shows Sandy how it's done. Is it the climate? Dere Street is t...

Rescue My IRA: May 2015
http://rescuemyira.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Like many of my generational colleagues, the baby boomers, I've found that my best intentions about saving for retirement aren't always meeting the mark. In 2011, I took some old 401(k) accounts and combined them into a self-directed IRA with Scottrade, and established a strategy of using covered calls to stabilize and enhance my returns.
