Home of Steve, Debbie and Chris. Fixing my End Grain Cutting Board. Posted in August 26th, 2014. A friend and I made some end grain cutting boards from ash several years ago. One of the problems with end grain boards is wood movement. Generally if you are going to have a problem it will be caused by water or some other liquid sitting under the board causing it to warp and split. In our case the problem was humidity, we burn wood and humidity will go from over 70% in the summer to below 30% in the winter.
